PALMETO BUGS IN TAMPA BAY

FACT:  There are over 4600 species of cockroaches. And that number gets larger every year as new species are discovered.

So what is a palmetto bug?

In fact, it is a very large cockroach.

  • Up to 2 inches long (you can put a saddle on one of those buggers!)
  • They can fly.
  • They can trigger an allergic reaction (especially in young children and the elderly).
  • They can live for a week without their head.
  • They can compress their body and enter your home through a crack the size of an envelope.
  • And live without food for a month or more.

You could only kill a cockroach so dead.

A housewife is cleaning her home and finds a cockroach. So she grabs a can of Raid and sprays the roach. Then troughs it into the toilet and continues her work.

About 30 min later she goes into the bathroom and sees the roach still moving. She grabs the spray and empty’s the rest of the can into the toilet.

Later that day the husband comes home and goes to his throne. He reads the newspaper and smokes a cigarette, having no idea what has gone on earlier in the day.

Once finished, he troughs the cigarette into the toilet. KABOOOM!!! So they call 911.The paramedics come out and bandage him up.

On the way out of the home, they said “Sir we don’t mean to be personal, but how did you get these burns on this part of your body?

He told them.

They laughed so hard they dropped him down the stairs. He broke 3 ribs and cracked his pelvis!
