The best treatment for Drywood termites in Tampa – Coby’s Tentless Termite & Pest Control
Tent fumigations for Drywood termites works, no question about it. It is been around for almost 100 years. At Coby’s Tentless Termite & Pest Control, we’ve probably recommended a total of about 30 fumigations over the past 12 or 13 years.
Now…out of those 30, only about half took my suggestion. The other half still wanted us to use a tentless treatment.
So which treatment is better?
At Coby’s Tentless Termite & Pest Control, we recommend a tentless treatment 97% of the time!
Both treatments are a process. But, with a fumigation treatment, because there’s no residual to the product, when it’s safe for YOU to go back in, so can the termites!
And, when the Drywood termites do come back (and they always will with a fumigation), the company that treated your home will come back and spot treat the area of infestation (provided you keep up your warranty). But, they will NOT re-fumigate the entire home again.
Companies only re-fumigate after a swarm has occurred, which takes at least 5yrs and many fumigation company’s contracts are ONLY GOOD FOR 4 YEARS!
Preparation for a fumigation is time consuming and costly. You and your pets leaving your house for 3 days. 2 poisonous gasses are injected into your home. But these are supposed to be safe, but it is a FACT that people have died after re-entering their homes following a termite fumigation treatment!
A Tentless termite service will protect your home for over 30 years depending on the products that we use.
But, depending on the number of colonies that you have, it may take several visits to find all the colonies and eliminate them. This is mainly because the treatment is a liquid not a gas and it won’t penetrate in every nook and cranny the first treatment.
That’s why Coby’s Tentless Termite and Pest Control comes back every 3 months to inspect and offer our life time warranty!
