Do Termites Ever Stop in Clearwater, Tampa Bay?

Okay, so now we get to talk about one of my favorites, termites. And, yeah, yeah, the last video I had was what’s biting you, and now this one’s about What’s eating you, or what should say what’s eating your home. Hi, I’m Coby. Coby’s Tentless Termite and Pest Control, and we are known for our checklist approach to treating for termites, where you don’t have to leave your home, bag, your foods, medicines, people with oxygen, or say, pets, birds, pool cages and a bunch of other things too. But you don’t have to do all that stuff. Anyhow, the question came up to me, do termites? Ever sleep? Ever stop? And we just had recent cold snap down here. It was like five days of 50 degree weather. So for those of you who were here, you know, know about that. The rest of the states, rest of United States, say, what? What’s the big deal? But the reason I mentioned that is because, for the North, it was much, much colder. And in northern Mississippi, on one of the the blogs I belong to, they were talking about how customer asked these termites, do they? Do they ever stop? I mean, what’s what’s going on? And it was in January with frigid weather coming in, ice storms, all kinds of stuff and and they’re still working, they’re still eating, they’re still going after it. It’s kind of interesting. When they were first doing the research on dates, they were taking a five gallon bucket and they were putting Litten paper and litmus paper, for those of you who don’t know, it’s it’s paper that you use in scientific experiments, and usually there’s blue and there’s pink and and they’ll also change color. I forget if it was like acid versus a base or I don’t recall. It’s been such a long time since I’ve done that. But what they were doing is they were having these because it’s witness paper, it’s paper. I mean, it’s cellulose, and anything cellulose, termites would love to eat. So they took these five gallon buckets where they knew there was a huge, huge problem of termites up in an old tobacco barn in Kentucky, and they find these buckets in there. And the the buckets were like 70 yards apart, so just shy of the football field apart, and during that time period, in a three week period, during that during a three week period of time, they found different colored termites in different buckets that are 70 yards away. So in a three week period, to kind of give you an idea, I mean, a little little guy can go ahead and travel 70 yards, and you know for sure that they mean, it’s just that you don’t just paint its head. Oh, I found it, but they were literally blue termites and pink buckets and pink termites and blue buckets. And so when you’re finding that it’s just, you’re just, whoa, how is that even possible? And I can’t, can’t imagine something so determined that it would go ahead and travel that much distance just to go ahead and provide for the queen. Pretty cool, pretty cool. I guess most of most wives would pretty much say, Well, that’s what my husband needs to do. Do work that hard to provide for me. But that being said, it’s just a matter of, no. They don’t stop, they don’t rest, they don’t take days off. There can be dormant times where they’re not as active, but as but there it’s like for hours a day, not days of the month. So yeah, to answer your question, no, termites really do not stop. They don’t ever stop. So if you have a question about this or anything else, please give us a call on Coby’s Tentless termite pest control, and always remember, as long as God keeps making them, we’ll keep killing them. And you have a great day.
