What does yearly termite protection actually cost?

Short answer: For most homes, our yearly termite protection runs about $395. That renewal is what keeps your guarantee alive. We come back once a year to look the house over, and if the termites come back between visits, so do we. Here's what the first treatment costs, and how our free inspection works.

Coby here with Coby's Tentless Termite and Pest Control. Once your termites are treated, the next question is always the same. What does it cost to keep them gone? So let's talk about the yearly renewal, what you're actually paying for, and why it's there at all.

What you're actually paying for

The yearly renewal isn't a second treatment. It's two things. First, somebody who knows your house comes back once a year and looks it over. Second, it keeps the guarantee in force. If the termites come back, so do we. Let the renewal lapse and the guarantee lapses with it. That's the whole deal, and I'd rather you hear it straight from me up front.

Why it's yearly and not one and done

Here's how I like to look at it. Termites don't stop. Every swarm season, new ones are flying around looking for a place to start a colony. Did the wind blow toward your house or away from it? Some of those days, it blew toward your house. The treatment takes care of what's in there. The renewal is somebody keeping an eye out for what shows up next.

It's not a magic shield. Termites can still show up. The difference is that somebody's on the hook to take care of it, and that somebody is us.

How our price compares

A lot of companies figure the yearly renewal at 10 to 15 percent of what the first treatment cost. That's a common way to do it, and there's nothing wrong with it. We just price ours by the house. For most homes it runs about $395 a year. A bigger house or more colonies can move that number, and we'll tell you what yours is when we're standing in your kitchen, not over the phone.

Long and short of it

The first treatment kills the termites that are there. The yearly renewal is what keeps somebody watching and keeps the promise good. If you have any questions, let us know. As long as GOD keeps making them, we'll keep killing them. Thanks, and you have a great day.

Free inspection

No charge, no obligation. You get the number and the reason for the number at the same time, standing in your own kitchen, where you can ask me why.

Our termite guarantee

Find it, take care of it. If the bugs come back, so do we. The yearly renewal is what keeps that true.
