Subterranean Termite Treatment in Clearwater
Subterranean termites work underground. So do we. They don't live in your walls the way drywood termites do. They live in the soil and travel up into your house looking for wood. That means the fix isn't inside your house. It's around it.
Seeing mud tubes on the foundation, or a swarm coming up out of the ground? Austin, our termite tech, comes out, confirms what it is, and tells you straight what it'll take. No charge to come look.
Step one: the trench
We trench around the perimeter of your home, four to six inches wide and four to six inches deep, depending on your soil and footing. Into that trench go two termiticides with the active ingredients Fipronil and Imidacloprid. Those are the same active ingredients in the flea and tick treatments you put on your dogs and cats, just applied differently and at a different strength for termites in the ground.
Step two: the stations
That trench alone isn't the end of it. About 90 days after the first treatment, we come back and put monitoring stations in the ground around your property. Every three months after that, we check them. If a station shows activity, we treat around the area where we found it.
Step three: we keep watching
The difference with subterranean is we're not waiting to find out. We're checking four times a year, so if something's happening, we catch it before it becomes your problem again.
Not sure which kind you've got? Here's how drywood and subterranean differ.
Our guarantee: if the bugs come back, so do we. After the first year of monitoring you renew the warranty, and as long as you keep it current, the guarantee holds.

What customers say
"From the initial phone call for information, to the consult and actual treatment of the house, everyone at Coby's has been nothing short of amazing. Top notch customer service from the owner, not a contractor, is so hard to find. I did not have to move out, there was no nasty odors and an automatic guarantee for retreating if termites come back! I would (and have) recommended Coby without hesitation!"
— Jennifer Jordan"Great job at a great price! We noticed some termite signs in our home and called Coby. He showed up right on time and gave us an estimate of the cost of the work to be done. He gave the rest of the home a very thorough inspection and came back a few days later and took care of our termite problem. We couldn't be happier!"
— Al LefflerHere's the honest reason not to wait. Subterranean termites don't stop at the first board they find. They keep coming up out of the soil as long as there's wood to eat, and the damage is usually hidden behind drywall or under flooring until it's well along. The sooner the trench goes in, the less there is to repair.
As long as GOD keeps making them, we'll keep killing them. You have a great day.
