Subterranean termites don’t live in your walls the way drywood termites do. They live in the soil, and they travel up into your house looking for wood. That means the fix isn’t inside your house, it’s around it.
Here’s exactly what we do. We trench around the perimeter of your home, four to six inches wide and four to six inches deep, depending on your soil and footing. Into that trench we put two termiticides with the active ingredients Fipronil and Imidacloprid — the same active ingredients used in flea and tick treatments for dogs and cats, just applied differently and at a different strength for termites in the ground.
That trench alone isn’t the end of it. About 90 days after that first treatment, we come back and install monitoring stations in the ground around your property. Every three months after that, we check those stations. If a station shows activity, we treat around the area where we found the active infestation.
After a year of monitoring, you renew the warranty, and as long as you do, our guarantee holds. If the bugs come back, so do we. The difference with subterranean is we’re not waiting to find out. We’re checking on it four times a year, so if something’s happening, we catch it before it becomes your problem again.
